Elevator ButtonWe have all been there; standing on the 22nd floor waiting impatiently for that darn lift to arrive. after all, we only have 30 minutes for lunch. Can’t the lift just hurry up? Why don’t they just put more than one lift in the shaft? Well, for starters they would crash into each other, which would result in the cables snapping and the lift plummeting 22 storeys at over 100 mph…..the screams, the carnage, the fatalities….. Oh, the pain! The pain of it all!

ThyssenKrupp Elevator’s has solved the problem with their Twin – 2 cabs, 1 shaft, 0 crowds elevator. So no more screams, carnage or fatalities. Yay!

Twin ElevatorHow it works: two cars arranged one above the other can run independently – also at different speeds – in the same shaft to within a set safety distance, which depends on the speeds involved. The cars can move in different directions, which means that they can also move toward each other.

We here at AnotherAmazingIdea.com love ideas that get us to lunch quicker (without killing us of course).

ANOTHER AMAZING IDEA!
